Oh, did I forget to mention the SALE? I've moved more bolts to the red dot (40% off) shelves, including many Christmas prints. 20% off all fabric (bolts, rolls, fat quarters) 10% off everything else Hope to see you!
Remember: Inventory sale continues through Dec. 10 (in-store only) Remember: Shop hop passports are on sale (hop dates are Feb. 3-6) Just in time for Christmas Shopping, we received a nice shipment of African baskets yesterday.
Large oval, small oval and small round market baskets
Large round and fruit baskets
These durable baskets come to us from Ghana. Hand woven (of course!) there are no two exactly the same. The large round and oval market baskets are good for toting around ALL your "stuff". The U-shopper is a slightly more fashionable choice (two have lace sections in the weaving - good for the beach - shake the sand out). The bread baskets are more shallow, good for taking along an individual project to work on, even your knitting!
12/09/15 UPDATE: Panels are SOLD OUT. Coordinates still available. "Road Work" is the name of this collection from Quilting Treasures. The featured print is a MAP just the right size for your little cars. Use it as a quilt back or to make a play mat. $12.29/yard.
Marti Tolbert of "That's Sew Marti!" will be teaching us how to make tuffets at Cotton Fields. They are a two day project, so classes are offered November 12 and 19 OR December 1 and 8. Sign up early so we can make plans. More information on the Schedule page.
I've gotten to be good friends with Jeanne, the owner of Knitting Addiction in Kitty Hawk, NC. She operates a wonderful yarn shop and, in addition to that, takes her show on the road every so often in Geraldine, the yarn truck.
Geraldine has visited Cotton Fields three times and this weekend I will go back to Knitting Addiction for my third time to set up a vending space inside the store. Here I am with Jeanne last April.
This time I'll be there from 10 AM-4 PM on Saturday, October 10.
I'll pack in as much as the Nitro can carry. This time around I'll include an assortment of seasonal items, both Halloween and Christmas .... patterns, books, fabric. It should be a fun time.
Not as impressive as Geraldine, but a workhorse nonetheless. I love it.
Rain, Rain, Go Away! It has been raining buckets here for days while we watched to see what Hurricane Joaquin would do. He's missing the coast of North Carolina and we're all relieved. Today and tomorrow I'm offering a sale on all batiks. 20% off bolts and pre-cuts. If you've been paying attention you know that I have about 20 new bolts and a number of pre-cut batik options. Come on in. I've been a little lonely this week. Discounts apply to in-store sales only.
* Next week I'll be taking the show on the road and setting up a mini-store inside Knitting Addiction in Kitty Hawk.
* Passports for the 2016 Romancing Eastern North Carolina Shop Hop have just gone on sale. Details on the Facebook page of the same name.
SOME of the long-awaited batiks arrived in the shop this morning. All are from Island Batik and all are wonderful. I have a pink and purple group, a blue and green group, and a nice red and navy to round things out. All are priced at $12.59/yard.
