Wide backing

Last week saw the arrival of a new shipment of batting.  Cotton Fields has a complete selection of Quilters Dream Request Natural Cotton Batting, Quilters Dream Select 80/20 Cotton-Poly Blend Batting and Quilters Dream Request Polyester Batting.  The batting isn't especially photogenic though ....

This morning saw the arrival of three new wide quilt backing fabrics.  These are from Benartex and are priced at $17.99/yard.

Belle

Yesterday in eastern North Carolina, it didn't feel like spring.  We got sleet and snow!  This happy collection "Belle" from Quilting Treasures, gives us a taste of spring that we hope is on the way.  All are $11.59/yard.

Basics

Restocking has been the name of the game since the shop hop.  The first priority was batting, since it had been my hop special and the shelves were wiped out.  Next came a notions order that included many books, another popular item during the hop.

Last week, an order arrived from Robert Kaufman.  In addition to the always popular Kona Cotton black, the order included bleached and unbleached premium muslin plus their 118" wide natural muslin quilt backing.

Today's delivery was from P&B Textiles.  Three white tone-on-tone prints and three of their "Apple Cider" tone on tone prints.  Along for the ride were two other bolts - reorders of popular (and useful) red and navy prints.

The next delivery will probably be more exciting.  I'm expecting a pretty floral collection from Quilting Treasures.  Stay tuned!
