Crazy Squares

I've changed the schedule a little bit this morning.  Check the schedule page for details.

One big change was the addition of the class "Crazy Squares" on June 9.  You can use scraps or fat quarters, make your project planned or scrappy.  The blocks are easy to make and the results are lots of fun.

Big Stitch

A couple of weeks ago, I taught a class on the pattern "Floret". 

After I pieced my version, I decided to quilt it with big stitches using #12 pearl cotton.

There's a big stitch class coming up at Cotton Fields on April 28.  Big stitch is ideal for people like me who want to do the hand work but don't have the time to traditionally quilt with little bitty stitches.  I also like the decorative look of the big stitches.

Then I combined it with this fabric, "Stone Age" by Red Rooster.

And I came up with a cute kid's quilt!!!

The Yarn Truck!

Cotton Fields is happy to announce the return of GERALDINE - the yarn truck from Knitting Addiction in Kitty Hawk, NC.

The yarn truck will be parked at Cotton Fields all day on Saturday, May 12.
