Always Give Thanks

Deliveries have been a little slow lately!  Yesterday, two fall related items appeared, so you have plenty of time to work on them. 

"Always Give Thanks" comes from QT Fabrics.  There's a kit with pattern and fabric to make the quilt below.  The finished quilt size is 32" x 49" and the kit is priced at $65.00.

If you prefer, the panel alone is also shown here.  It measures 24" x WOF and is priced at $9.00 each.

Flower Power Challenge

WAY last fall, I posed a challenge to my quilting friends.  $10 bought a kit for the "Flower Power" Challenge.  Inside was two half-yard pieces of "challenging" fabric and an instruction sheet.

Quilters were asked to make an ORIGINAL quilt using the two half-yard pieces of fabric, illustrating in some way the flower power/peace/love/spring theme.  Any size, other fabrics could be added as long as the original two were included.  Quilts were due before the start of the Romancing Eastern North Carolina Shop Hop which begins tomorrow, February 1.  Viewers' Choice among the shop hoppers will determine the winner of a mighty nice gift basket.

Here are the Flower Power quilts, in no particular order.  Makers' names will be revealed after voting is complete.

I appreciate the effort of these quilters!  They range in age from 10 to 80.  The winner will be announced on Sunday, February 13.
